The project:
Gather a group of “statements of belief” from faculty, staff,
and students. These belief statements may be:
• Performances
• Works of art or music
• Video expressions
• 350 word essays
• Belief statements in other media…surprise us!
The VOICES Project and Student Life are joint sponsors. We
will produce a video end product: a sampling of SLU beliefs. The culminating
event will be the capstone of the Week of Reflection, April 25, 2008. Of course,
we will air our DVD on SLU TV!
We are seeking submissions of a particular type:
• Directly connected to an individual’s personal experience
• Not a political or religious creed composed by another
• Preferably deep, reflective
• Possibly humorous
• Not too long or short
• Necessarily positive statements, rather than statements of what I
do not believe

$1000** each for winning faculty, staff
and students!
$1000 in tuition or books for students
$1000 in Professional Travel for faculty members
$1000 cash for staff
